Is similar to real world. You can go to one place, or two, but you have to remember what are you for here or there. Why do I want to go to that grocery? Why I don't like that mall? I think we could compare those things because all these social networking sites are just another "shops" where you can purchase advertising tools to your blog or social contacts with other people from around the world. You can also resign from being a part of such sites and go to club X each evening and try to meet some people there, on in any other place that is connected to the idea of "meeting people". It's the same. But Web 2.0 gives many opportunities to find people from far away :) Well, what can you expect. Is similar to real world.
