I haven’t been blogging much or following comments or anything for that matter. Lately I’ve been getting e-mail notifications of spam comments which go through. These spam comments were made by regular people in India and other places who were hired to comment on my blog.

Aksimet doesn’t detect them because they are normal people. They can bypass the captcha and every other spam blocking mechanism. Now, I’ve decided to block them completely before they even reach my blog, how? I’ll tell you.

I installed WP-Ban and added the following IPs:

122.163.161.*
122.161.93.*
121.246.81.*
64.53.129.110

78.47.125.152 – 78.47.125.159

It is sad if a legitimate person in those segements was curious and decided to read and comment on my blog, but frankly spam comments are annoying. It doesn’t matter if you get a regular person to do the dirty work rather than a script, a spam comment is still a spam comment!

So there…

In another note, I’m more active on twitter than I am on my blog. 140 characters seem more than convenient for whatever I have to say. You can find me here;

I have installed twitter tools by Alex King. This will enable me to post more, when I post a tweet on twitter it will be posted here, and when I post an entry on my blog here, it will be linked on my twitter page. And no this will not cause the world to end as Alex King’s FAQ says,

What happens if I have both my tweets posting to my blog as posts and my posts sent to Twitter? Will it cause the world to end in a spinning fireball of death?

Actually, Twitter Tools has taken this into account and you can safely enable both creating posts from your tweets and tweets from your posts without duplicating them in either place.

Also, I apologize for the river of tweets recently in the feed. Those have been taken care of.

Twitter is a micro-blogging social network website.

I read quite a lot of blogs out there. A lot of them are interesting and a lot are funny. A lot of them are close, and my friends are among them. I removed the blogroll because it was getting way too big, especially for those that deserve exposure! I decided to create a new page, with all the blog links that were here in my active blogroll.

Edit: If you’re not on the list, post a comment, and a reason why you should be, and I’ll take that into consideration :p lol J/k. Leave a comment anyway! I love reading new content and different ideas and opinions on things!

Last month I decided to share my current playlist with you, and today you’re getting a new batch of this wonderful music I listen to. You can click on the links on the right side bar to listen as well. Keep an open mind, and here are the two albums I have in store for you.

Andrea Bocelli – Sogno
– Bocelli, what more can I say? There are a few duets in this album, which give it a very unique taste. I hope you’ll like it.
– Click to Listen

Yngwie Malmsteen – Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra in E Flat Minor Op. 1
– A neoclassical album. A guitar genius plays along with an orchestra. You have to listen to this if you like classical music and/or electric guitars!
– Click to Listen

You can still access the link to the previous album I had up, Romanza by Andrea Bocelli as well, but I’m removing the link from the side bar.

Enjoy!
~N.
