N. | One Or The Other

At first this was going to be a post about not limiting oneself by the boundaries imposed on us by society and the media. I.e. to go out there and live our lives as we want to, not as the world around us wants us to.

I paused.

I was going to write about the weekend, and our problems with the electricity at home, and all the mess that is happening. That would be complaining, and I’m not in a complaining type of mood.

I hindered.

I wasted to write something positive, something good that has happened recently. Nothing crossed my mind.

I need to improve my style of writing. I have been relaxing way too much.

Another pause.

That is all.

The dark wind brushed against my face, prickling my cheeks. The scarf kept my lips and neck warm. I felt the cold wind mixing with my warm wet breath with every puff. The inside of the scarf felt a little moist. I turned my face gently towards the dark wind, a gust burned my eyes, a cool burn that made my eyes water. A tear dropped not out of sadness, probably not. There, I saw it. Glowing in pitch black darkness. It was vaguely round, morphing with every stroke of wind that hit the surface. Disconnecting and connecting, glimmering in the distance. There it was, the moon upon the sea.

What would the world be like if the plants were orange, and the sea was pink.

What would the world be like if a circle was a square, and a rectangle was a triangle.

What would the world be like if oranges were peaches, and strawberries were apples.

What would the world be like if hair was brittle, and bones were soft.

What would the world be like if reality was fantasy and fantasy was reality.

I don’t get on much, I just check statuses and updates, once in a blue moon I’d post a comment, or accept a request. I have my blog feeding off there (my blog posts are posted as notes in my profile). I rarely get friend requests from strangers (those with the fake names). I usually do not accept these strange requests, most of my friends are legitimate (wait, so now does that mean there are bastard friends?).

Recently I got a request from an old, old, OLD friend of mine, who is also a friend of the family. Rarely do I get united with old friends, but the ones that do show up, are always the gems in my life! Real friends, you know those people that you can depended on. Somehow during a period of our lives, circumstances drifted us apart, and it is great to be reunited.

…on Health.

I am starting to get sick. At this rate it seems like I will be sick by Eid! I drank some yummy effervescent Vitamin C twice yesterday, I don’t know how that will play out, we’ll see. I’m actually contemplating getting a stick leave for today and tomorrow. That would get me right into the weekend, ah the joy!

…on Sleep.

I didn’t have enough sleep. I slept for only one hour. I had to wake up to get ready for work, I set up 4 alarms at; 7:00am, 7:03am, 7:06am, and 7:09am. Call me weird, but I picked 3 minute intervals because in case I missed the first one, the trailing effect of the sequential alarms would eventually get me to the last one at 7:09 which is the supposed first snooze alarm after 7:00am (snoozes are usually in 9 minute intervals…). If that made utterly no sense, IT IS OK.

…on Food.

We had pizza and a whole lot other stuff for futoor yesterday. We ordered from pizza hut (I’m not even capitalizing the name! Doesn’t deserve respect!). What the hell happened to that place? Honestly, every time I order from them I’d expect the pizza hut we all knew 5 or 10 years ago! Remember, when the mozzarella cheese was actually white instead of yellow! The pan was actually PAN and soft, instead of bulgy and saturated! I’m never ordering from pizza hut ever again!

I have a few I’d like to get started with, I am pretty much caught up with the Anime I’m watching right now.

Anime

I need more of One Piece.. I haven’t written an anime review, only maybe the Death Note movie and anime comparison. I’m actually contemplating about writing a review for One Piece. Yes, it is that good!

I could not find a suitable image to suit the topic today. I do have a picture of road kill (a dead squirrel) and if I post it I would probably not stop receiving e-mails from animal rights activists!

Have you ever seen something totally out of place on a road? Something that certainly does not belong there? I’m most certainly not talking about all the road kill out there, unless it is strange. For example, a friend of mine said once he saw a dead cow here in Kuwait! A cow? I’d be surprised! If he’d said a goat, or a camel, I would think it was normal but a cow? Now that’s new to me! Yet, still very possible!

Here are some of the strange items I have seen: A chair, a mid-size wooden cage, even a mattress! — all in the middle of the road! Sadly I do not have the pictures to prove it! I will try to remember to take pictures if I come across anything new!

..Scratch it.

There is sometimes always a pleasure of scratching anything. I recently felt nostalgic to the feeling while I was at the beach house. I had been bitten by a mosquito, and the sheer pleasure of scratching around it, (however strange.. or normal that may sound.. no mosquitoes were hurt in the process).

Do not be afraid to be gentle while you scratch, you get more pleasure out of it that way. The other phenomena that seemed to be quite pleasurable is using a q-tip after a hot shower. Stimulating the ears with a cotton swab, might not do it for most, but you all know you like it. Remember to scratch, where it itches.
