Life is a series of choices. Every step is a choice, an option, a decision. We try our best to make these choices based on what we know. What we pick may not be based on what is right and what is wrong, but what we believe in our minds and hearts. Whatever we do decide, we have to compromise. It is always one or the other.

Selfish: What do you think?, Part 1

We all have a form of selfishness. I would like to talk in depth about this topic, however first I would like your input. Which would you choose? There is no right or wrong answer here.

Imagine yourself in the situation before giving a complete answer. Also, please include your reasoning with your answer.

Question #1:
If you were in a position where you would need to either sacrifice yourself and save many others, or you could save your own life and risk everyone else’s?

Question #2:
If you and another person were in love, and you had to make a choice between choosing what is best for yourself, or what is best for the other person, which would you decide? Lets consider that one of the choices involves splitting up, either one it doesn’t matter.

Question #3:
If you were in a position where you knew something important and keeping it from someone you cared about (a close friend, family, significant other) knowing that if you did tell that person it might hurt them, would you say it anyway? Or would you keep it a secret and not tell, and let that secret hurt you alone? (In other words would you share the pain, thinking you are sharing vital information, or would you carry the burden on your shoulders and be in pain while protecting the one you care about from this information).

Please provide your input in the comments. Also if you have someone next to you while reading this, ask them! I need as much as I can about this. I will post a reply in part two. :)

When The Storm of Chaos Settles

Life is so complex, that sometimes we get thrown off balance. We get thrown into chaos. We enter what I like to call, the cycle of emotions (oh how unique :p). Where we mostly try and do our best to get back on track.

Sometimes we get sidetracked into too much sadness and guilt, we dwell in these feelings for too long. We dig a deeper hole for ourselves. We struggle to find a way to come out of that hole. Sometimes we do, other times we just can’t because we don’t see the way.

Here is a list of emotions we go through in such a storm, especially in this order;
Confusion, Hate, Anger, Sadness, Pain, Remorse, Guilt, Regret, Forget, Forgive, Remember, Accept, Hope, Dream, Love, Trust, Betrayal.

Alright, I just made up that list in that specific order to show the stages one goes through. It is not easy to just jump from emotion to emotion but we do what we can to keep on living. We can live on accepting the fact that some things are just out of our control. We cannot control every situation and make the outcome be in our favor. There are people out there who feel things we do not understand, or we do not accept, but who’s to say who’s right and who’s wrong.

These storms can last from days, to weeks, to months or even years. The most important stage here is Hope. It is safe, it is comforting, and it is what keeps us going. I believe that beautiful things can happen in this world, regardless of how messed up everything seems.

All we need is a little bit of faith.

While typing this, a song kept playing in my head. Here it is for you.

What is this Blog about?

I cut my break short because of some unfortunate events. For those who thought I was taking a vacation, I wish you were right. I only took a break from blogging mainly and reduced my online time in general.

During that period I got plenty of ideas about things to write. I wrote all those Ideas down so I can share them with you soon! I also thought about giving you an Idea what this blog is really all about.

I don’t write much offline, but I do enjoy writing in my blog for the readers out there. As you have seen already I write about myself, my opinions, thoughts, things I have seen or heard, and sometimes something very random and abstract.

You may wonder why I write some of the things that I do, why I enjoy abstract deep subjects (which are quite timeless, and possibly very random as well). These, my friends, are simply to get your mind jogging. They are thought provoking concepts that put your minds into gear, if you so wish. You may even wish to move on and ignore such involving bidirectional communicative situations *cough*.

I’m not a philosopher. I’m an IT geek, and a typical one in many aspects. I hope you would enjoy your time here, as much as I enjoy writing and sharing my most intimate thoughts, feelings, and experiences with you all.

P.S. Now, the challenge: To catch up on all of you! Lots of reading to do here… and off we go.

Break Time

Sailing AwayI have been meaning to take this for a while now. This is only a temporary break. I will be back, you can count on it.

If It Itches..

..Scratch it.

There is sometimes always a pleasure of scratching anything. I recently felt nostalgic to the feeling while I was at the beach house. I had been bitten by a mosquito, and the sheer pleasure of scratching around it, (however strange.. or normal that may sound.. no mosquitoes were hurt in the process).

Do not be afraid to be gentle while you scratch, you get more pleasure out of it that way. The other phenomena that seemed to be quite pleasurable is using a q-tip after a hot shower. Stimulating the ears with a cotton swab, might not do it for most, but you all know you like it. Remember to scratch, where it itches.

I love q-tips!

Unjust Arrest and Detainment of a Kuwaiti Blogger

In short I want to extend my deepest sadness and full support to the Kuwaiti community for this unjust behavior. I’d like to say that I do not condone such actions. The unjust behavior we have heard about yesterday must be looked into and we must stand together for our brothers and sisters.

Crowded Elevator

I have posted my fair share of posts about strange elevators, and fun elevator rides. Somehow, riding the elevator has become quite a custom habit of mine, and it has becomes something to look forward to at work! Yep, it has.

Maybe there is a strange mysteriousness of who might appear before you as you hear the *ding* that sounds when the elevator arrives and the doors slowly open. *wink*

Long elevator rides can be quite enjoyable with the right company, especially with people who smell good. Nothing beats getting on the elevator with someone who has some good perfume on.

Also, elevators are where things happen. Funny things mostly.

As a Blogger You can Change the World

Blog Action Day

On October 15th, bloggers around the web will unite to put a single important issue on everyones mind – the environment. Every blogger will post about the environment in their own way and relating to their own topic. Our aim is to get everyone talking towards a better future.

What would happen if every blog published posts discussing the same issue, on the same day? One issue. One day. Thousands of voices.

Already very known blogs have joined this initiative. I think it would be great to talk about an issue that is important for every soul in this world. I’m calling on to you, the reader to participate. All you have to do is go to and submit your blog.

8 Things

In the 8 facts about [name], you share 8 things that your readers dont know about you. At the end, you tag 8 other bloggers to keep the fun going. Each blogger must post these rules first. Each blogger starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves. At the end of the post, a blogger needs to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names. Dont forget to leave them a comment telling them theyre tagged, and to read your blog…

  • I’m an alien. (My secret is out.)
  • I just got new glasses.
  • I hate malls on weekends. They’re too crowded and mostly people are there to linger.
  • I used to smoke, and quit, an average of 8 times during the past 8 years. I don’t smoke anymore.
  • I don’t like mushrooms but I love mushroom soup.
  • I used to know how to speak Spanish and French, not anymore.
  • My shoe size is 42 1/2.
  • I used to watch my neighbor’s Indian movies when I was a child.
