Life is a series of choices. Every step is a choice, an option, a decision. We try our best to make these choices based on what we know. What we pick may not be based on what is right and what is wrong, but what we believe in our minds and hearts. Whatever we do decide, we have to compromise. It is always one or the other.

Everyone is a Superhero: Identity

In many different ways, we all have our superhero identities. We travel the web with nicknames and disguises not many know of. We take down the sources of evil, noobishness, and all that is bad.. we prevail, to once again log off and enjoy our normal lives with our families.

Why is your online identity secret? Sure, everyone enjoys their privacy. In a small country like Kuwait, it has been proven that your first name gives a 65% chance of being known, add your last name adds 34% making that 99% (these statistics are made up). The question here is, what if you are known? Are you writing too many secrets? Are you showing a side of you that normal people do not see? Or are you truly a hero in disguise?

The question here is, why would you not want to be known for who you are?

Refugees International (AlBidoon)

I passed by Desert Girl‘s blog a couple of days ago by accident and came across her post about Refugees International and I thought I would share that with you here, and hopefully you’ll help and spread the word out to get these people help.

Basically a representative will be coming to Kuwait within the next month. The representative will be here to collect data and to talk with a few stateless people (I’ll refrain from using bidoon because it is such a negative word). You can contact Desert Girl and she will forward your contact information to the representative. Your privacy will be kept in confidence.

Engagement: Pick a fight!

I was thinking about a way to summarize my previous post about my unfortunate marriage incident, and I came up with the perfect solution. We may go through an engagement being perfectly happy and content with the way things are, but to truly test the power of the relationship, you have to pick a fight!

That may sound a little harsh but in truth, when you’re in agreement and everything is OK that is only PART of your relationship. There will definitely be a point in time when you both will disagree, and maybe get frustrated with each other, and probably want to end up throwing plates at each other! If you at least get a taste of that, and are able to manage it and deal with it during the engagement that will up your chances of a successful marriage.

No documentation!

Documentation MessWhen was the last time you referred to or used the documentation at work, about how to get things done around the place? I’d bet that some if not ALL businesses have no such documentation that detail exactly what the business process is. The place I’m currently working at is quite reputable offering services to hundreds of thousands! My job is to organize the business process. Imagine doing that, without having any documentation whatsoever!

I’d have to go around, documenting details and details of how the company runs, and I’d have to organize it in a readable manageable fashion. Things that a company that has been doing for over 20 years! I feel like I’m diving in a large large pool of spaghetti. It doesn’t feel good, but the concept sure is wonderful.

Wet Gadgets!

When was the last time you dropped your phone or any electronic gadget into the water? Did you take it to the store and get told that your warranty has been revoked cause you dropped it in water?! That sucks doesn’t it. Fear no more, the ultimate revival solution is here!

How to fix wet Gadgets!
Place in a bowl/bucket of rice! Yep, Basmati works the best I hear :p

References: Dry out your soaked gadgets in rice

Edit — After further questions from a lot of people, I’ve decided to post how it works! Stay tuned.

The dry rice around the device absorbs the moisture in the air. This is not to say that it would dry your device if it was dropped into some other liquid! However, you can try to clean it with pure water before using this technique. Furthermore, you may have to place the device in the rice bowl more than once in a few days. Also,

Remember that sometimes even water leaves stains, and may not be 100% pure and particle free! When the device dries up, your device may function for a while, or may not function at all. If it does indeed function, the first thing you should do is back-up your data!

Dear N.
Always be ready!

If you have a problem getting or keeping an erection, you are not alone.
In fact, more than half of all men over forty have difficulties getting or maintaining an erection.
This condition, called erectile dysfunction (ED), occurs with younger and older men as well,
but there’s a safe, effective and easy method of treatment: Viagra.

When the time is right, you’ll always be ready.
